      Post construction termite treatments are a specialized process that is unique to each termite infestation. Each structure is different which requires the knowledge and experience of the Pest Control operator to identify the infestation and determine the best course of action. Depending on the chemical label recommendations and requirements the following is one example of a post construction termite treatment method.

Sub slab injection: Sub slab injection is a common treatment process in which a hole or multiple holes spaced roughly 12 inches apart are drilled through the concrete foundation and a chemical solution is injected through the hole in order to chemically treat the soil beneath the slab. You may have seen drill marks in slab areas along exterior walls of a structure. Often other companies use 1/2 inch or larger drill bits to penetrate the slab. This creates noticeable collateral damages to the slab finish or other floor coverings such as tile or stained concrete.  BAKER'S uses 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", and 3/8" drill bits to ensure the least amount of collateral damage to your floor finishes.

   Once the treatment is completed the drill holes are required to be patched. Most other companies use either a plastic "plug" that is hammered into the hole or some type of concrete patch work. This can often be further damaging and visually displeasing. BAKER'S has developed skillful techniques over decades of experience to minimize visual evidence of these drill marks.  Using close matching materials and special techniques we try to closely match the color and texture of the surface we drill through.  Often our drill marks are completely unnoticeable to the untrained eye.  Please see the photo gallery at the bottom of this page for comparison.
